Destinations

Argentina
where would you begin?

Argentina is not a destination you can summarise. It is a territory that takes time, intention and the right starting point.

Choosing where to go

Argentina is bigger
than most people expect.
That is the first thing
to understand.

The country stretches almost five thousand kilometres from north to south. If you placed the northern tip of Argentina over London, the southern end would reach the Sahara.

Ancient indigenous civilisations shaped the territory for thousands of years before the Spanish arrived. Then came waves of European immigration that built cities so architecturally rich that Buenos Aires is often compared to Barcelona or Paris. The result is a country with more contrasts, more layers and more genuine diversity than most people expect before they arrive.

Most travelers try to cover several regions in one trip. The ones who leave most satisfied are usually those who chose one or two places and stayed long enough to connect with the people, understand the culture and find the real essence of Argentina.

The question is not which region is best. It is which one is right for you.

Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires has more theatres than almost any other city in the world ‐ around 300, concentrated along a single avenue that locals call their Broadway. After the show, dinner starts at ten. The table next to you will still be there at midnight.

A city that rewards those who stay long enough to become a regular somewhere.

Norte Argentino
Norte Argentino

The Quebrada de Humahuaca follows the line of the Inca Road ‐ a route used for trade, movement and culture for over 10,000 years. The Incas passed through here. So did everyone before them.

Ancient in a way that the rest of Argentina simply is not.

Patagonia
Patagonia

Patagonia is larger than France and Spain combined ‐ and has fewer than one million inhabitants. That ratio of space to people is what defines the experience. El Calafate, El Chaltén, Ushuaia ‐ each one a different way into the same vast territory.

A territory so vast it makes silence feel like a physical thing.

Mendoza
Mendoza

Mendoza's vineyards sit at altitudes between 600 and 1,500 metres above sea level ‐ some of the highest in the world. The thin air and intense Andean sun are what give the Malbec its depth.

Unhurried, generous and best experienced with three hours to spare for lunch.

Iguazú
Iguazú

The falls are 275 individual cascades stretching nearly three kilometres. The surrounding jungle has over 400 bird species, capuchin monkeys and coatis ‐ who will steal your lunch without apology.

One of the few places in the world where the photographs genuinely do not prepare you.

More regions coming

Argentina is larger
than any single page.

We are continuously adding new destinations and journeys. If you have a specific region or experience in mind that you don't see here yet ‐ that is exactly the kind of conversation we want to have.

Not sure where to start

A few honest guidelines
‐ not rules.

If you have 7 to 10 days and it's your first time in Argentina: Buenos Aires plus one other destination is almost always the right answer. The city gives you the cultural and urban context that makes everything else more meaningful. Pair it with Iguazú if you want nature and spectacle. Pair it with Mendoza if you want landscape and gastronomy at a slower pace. Pair it with Puerto Madryn if you want wildlife and open coast ‐ whales, penguins and sea lions within a few hours of the capital.

If you have two weeks or more: You have real options. Buenos Aires plus El Calafate is the classic Patagonia combination ‐ glaciers, landscape and a pace that slows everything down. Buenos Aires plus the northwest is less obvious and, for the right traveler, more rewarding. Three destinations is possible but requires honesty about pace ‐ two places done well will always beat three places rushed.

If you want to go deep into one place rather than cover ground: One destination for ten days or more is a completely valid journey ‐ and often the most satisfying one. Buenos Aires alone rewards that kind of time. So does spending two weeks between Salta and Jujuy, or basing yourself entirely in Patagonia. Depth is not a compromise. For many travelers, it is the whole point.

If you've already been to Buenos Aires and Iguazú: You are in the best position. You already know what the country feels like. Now is the time to go further ‐ north to Jujuy and Salta, south to Patagonia, or into Mendoza with enough time to actually understand the wine country rather than just pass through it.

If you're not sure at all: That is what the free call is for. We have had this conversation many times. We will ask you the right questions and give you an honest answer ‐ not the one that is easiest to book, but the one that makes the most sense for you.

Something else in mind?

The best journeys
don't always start
with a destination.

Some of the most interesting trips we have designed started with a conversation that had nothing to do with geography. A traveler who wanted to understand gaucho culture. Someone who had read Borges and wanted to walk his Buenos Aires. A couple who wanted to spend two weeks fly fishing the rivers of Neuquén, chasing trout in some of the most remote and pristine waters in the world.

If you have something specific in mind that you don't see here, a region, a type of experience, a question about what is actually possible in the time you have, we want to hear it.

The destinations on this page are where we spend most of our time. They are not the limits of what we can design.
