Who we are

There is a particular feeling that many travelers come home with after visiting Argentina. A quiet sense that the country offered more than they managed to find. That beneath the highlights, there was something they didn't quite reach.

Argentina is one of the most extraordinary countries in the world to travel through. In a single country you can find snow-capped Andean peaks and ancient indigenous gorges, European-style cities and remote gaucho villages, whales breeding off the Patagonian coast and the southernmost city on earth.

And yet, most international travelers leave having experienced only a fraction of what the country actually offers. Two nights in Buenos Aires, a day at Iguazú, and a quiet sense that there was more beneath the surface.

Cynthia grew up in the Buenos Aires suburbs and spent years working in tourism in Argentina before moving to Australia in 2023. From there, she started noticing how Argentina was being sold to the world ‐ rushed itineraries, surface-level experiences and countries packaged together as interchangeable stops.

What she designs for is something slower and more personal: journeys that help travelers actually understand the country they came to see.

Guillermo and Celeste have worked in the Argentine travel industry for more than twenty years. What they bring to Paralelo 54 is not a catalogue of options, but judgment ‐ knowing which places are genuinely worth the journey and which experiences actually stay with people.

Together, they handle the operational side of every itinerary: logistics, providers, timing and the countless small decisions that make a journey feel effortless once you're on the ground.

It is formally registered with Argentina's national travel registry ‐ the kind of established, accountable presence that matters when you're trusting someone with a journey far from home.
